This page explains what the Aluryon team collects when you play on the server or visit this site, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect in the game
Your account. Your Minecraft name and UUID, along with your progress: balance and transactions, claims, homes, quests, Bazaar stall, recipes and staff role.
Your IP address. We store the address you last played from, and the addresses used to count daily AI allowances and enforce IP bans. Staff can see which accounts have shared an address. Your address also appears in connection logs.
What you write. Public chat and full command lines are kept for 14 days. That includes the text of /msg, /r, /petition and /report. Login sessions are kept for 14 days too. Whispers and chat blocked by the word filter are also written to the server log.
What you do in the world. So staff can investigate and undo damage, we log:
- sign text, items and interactions for 30 days, including item names and any text on them, such as books
- blocks, containers, entities and rollbacks for 60 days
Moderation records. Warnings, mutes, kicks, bans and the reports made about you, with their reasons and any IP address recorded with them.
Who can see it
- Staff can read whispers, muted messages and filter-blocked chat as they happen, and can look up logged chat, commands, sessions and items.
- Everyone can see in-game activity as usual. This site also publishes player names: the discoverer of each recipe on the Sky, and players named in the Chronicle. Share images can show a Chronicle headline.
The site doesn't publish IP addresses or UUIDs.
Who we share it with
- Mojang and Microsoft check your account when you log in.
- OpenRouter and the AI model provider it routes to, currently OpenAI, generate game text. They receive the text of your petitions, your name when the Warden greets you, and player names in the Warden's and Chronicle's text. Recipe requests don't include who you are. We don't send them your IP address or UUID.
- OVH hosts the server and this site.
- Discord handles anything you send us there, under its own terms.
These companies may process data in other countries. We don't sell your data.
This website
The site has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and its fonts come from our own server. Our server has to receive your IP address to send you a page.
Why we use it
We use this data to run the game, enforce the rules, stop abuse and generate the AI content the game is built on. Where the GDPR or similar law applies, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a fair and safe server, and providing the game you chose to join.
How long we keep it
Logged activity is deleted after the periods above. Everything else has no automatic deletion yet:
- IP addresses stay until someone removes them.
- Moderation records are kept indefinitely.
- Account data stays until it's removed. A new season resets balances, claims and Bazaar stalls, but keeps the rest.
- Names in the block log's index aren't removed when the logged activity expires.
- Names in history, such as recipe discoverers and the Chronicle, stay after a season ends.
- Server logs have no fixed deletion period.
- Season world archives are kept and can include signs and chest contents.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see your data, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it or get a copy of it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, message staff on Discord. Don't post personal details in a public channel. We'll ask you to prove the account is yours, and we aim to answer within a month.
If you ask us to delete your data, we may keep moderation records and reports so that bans still work, and names already in the server's history.
Children
Aluryon has no minimum age and doesn't ask for your age. Chat is public, so younger players should play with a parent or guardian's knowledge. A parent or guardian can make any request on this page for a child, which helps if the child is too young for a Discord account.
Changes
If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top.
